Setup for Pride will begin at 3:30pm Saturday the 25th rain or shine. The Farmer’s Market ends at 2:00pm and their vendors will be trying to clear off the square at that time so it is VERY important that we keep all of the entrances and exits from the square clear before 3:00pm. This includes Wall and Union streets. Please don’t block, stand, or pull onto the curbs on those areas prior to 3:00. There will be officers present to ensure that traffic around market square flows smoothly. Vehicles participating in the parade will not be permitted to enter the square until the parade is over. They must continue down Wall Ave. and either enter the garage or turn onto Walnut St. There could be a lot of congestion on and around Market Square during the change out and as the parade runs down Gay St. We ask for everyone’s patience during that period. Again: you will NOT be permitted to set up or bring materials onto the square prior to 3:00pm
The rental company will be delivering the tables and chairs as close to 3 as possible and start setup by 3:30 or earlier if all goes well.
You can check in at the front of the stage with any of the ETEC staff, once the tables are up there will be an information booth to the right of the stage (#35). It is possible to pull a vehicle onto the square only if necessary. However, once the tables are set up it will be very difficult to maneuver so we’re asking that all vehicles be cleared off the square by 3:30. Also please avoid the stage and the area behind it as much as possible, the entertainment staff will be very busy setting up sound and musical equipment (much of it expensive and somewhat delicate).
The preview map of vendors is here.
It’s pretty much done, but I reserve the right to make changes up until the event Saturday. I will have the final, official copies of the layout at the event so you don’t need to print/memorize it. If you desire to swap locations with someone both parties must contact me prior to the event.
We have twice as many vendors as last year so space and time are tight for setup. Please be considerate of other vendors and help us make this years Pride Event the smoothest and best yet.
