Todd Cramer
President
East Tennessee Equality Council
A native Knoxvillian, and graduate of Bearden, Todd credits his decision to leave town and attend Clemson for the independence and drive that defines him. Having been a leader in Young Life, President of his Sigma Chi Pledge Class & of his Alumni Chapter and Chapter Advisor to his alma mater, Todd spent much of his free time in SC volunteering with causes dear to him. Back in TN in 2000, he continued that pattern as a founder of the Knoxville Human Rights Group, with service on the boards of TEP, the Knoxville Ski & Outing Club & Positively Living and now as the founding President of ETEC. Having sold out of the brokerage business he joined after college, Todd is now President of his family’s business, Johnstone Supply. He is thankful for his relationship w/ God, the love and support of his fiancé Ernie, their dog Hopps and the rest of their family and friends.

Secretary
East Tennessee Equality Council
Originally from Arkansas, this father of two migrated to East Tennessee to take a position as software developer in the mid-90s. She has been self-employed for the last eleven years as a network consultant after her on-the-job transition didn’t go quite the way she had hoped. To her knowledge, she is the only US Air Force service member to ever be discharged specifically for Gender Identity Disorder – before Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. She maintains the website for the Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition and serves on the board of directors of East Tennessee Equality Council. A nerd at heart, Carla and her partner of seven years, Jaime, visit Dragon*Con every year like it is a religious quest. If they have any spare time they play with their four parrots, or drive their British sports cars.

Born and raised just a few counties shy of here, Susan moved to Knoxville in 1987 and considers it home. While living here she had the great honor of teaching in the Knox County School system for nearly 15 years, and although she no longer teaches, she considers the connections she made with students and her peers to be her greatest achievement. When not out running the trails and greenways, you can find Susan working on yet another HGTV - inspired home project, being an active member of the Knoxville Track Club, and, of course, working with the East Tennessee Equality Council.
